Climate anxiety and declarations of love: moi Caprice releases their sixth album Nine Lives - out on the 27th of May 2022.

In 2020, moi Caprice found each other again aKer more than a decade of hiatus, and the band released their critically acclaimed fiKh album Becoming Visible. Now they are already back with their sixth album, Nine Lives. A record that feels more extroverted and liberated by expectations and dogmas than the band has ever experienced before.

"Even though the record was made in the LEAST physical age and not even in the rehearsal room, it is a rather physical and danceable record. It really is a great quality for me - to make music physical. Even though we could not be together for very long periods," says leadsinger Michael Møller.

Despite the physical leg spans, Nine Lives has consistently been more collecHve in its creaHon process than previous albums. The ideas have come from all sides of the band. It has made the preparation of Nine Lives a more common cohesion, where all members have contributed equally, which has reinforced the feeling of being a full-fledged band again.

Where the band's last album, Becoming Visible, was a reunion record the sequel is defined by the fact that the band has been strongly united as a group again and has found a different lightness and euphoria in their songwriting. Moi Caprice can probably never completely run away from their melancholy tone - but the album's ten songs are fast-paced and danceable.
