Cello Suites
Johann Sebastian Bach
Do you really know how the instrument looks for his Bach Suites for Violoncello wrote? Sigiswald Kuijken is in his research that it may not be dealing with the now well-known (held between the legs) cello, but a violoncello da spalla (shoulder-cello). A convincing argument for Kuijken thesis is certainly this recording on a custom-made product for Kuijken instrument that knows these works represent more than just convincing.
