Songs From The South

**Old Fire** is the pet project of **John Mark Lapham,** of *The Earlies* and 4AD band *The Late Cord fame.* Taking nearly a decade to make, the album features vocals from a.o. **Tom Rapp** *(Pearls Before Swine),* **Sara Lowes** *(The Earlies),* **DM Stith** and **Alex Maas** *(Black Angels)* as well as guest appearances from **Warren Defever** *(His Name Is Alive)* & **Thor Harris** *(Swans).* Sitting alongside the original **Old Fire** compositions are a selection of intriguing cover versions of songs by *Psychic TV, Low, Jason Molina* and *Shearwater.*
