Soundations
Up until a few years ago, this Kalamazoo, Michigan band was virtually unknown, releasing a rare & only regionally recognized LP in 1966 on the Phalanx label. Talk about garage music... their covers of these songs are as good as the originals (includes "Johnny B. Goode," "When a Man Loves a Woman," "Shout"), and the virtually unknown 45 on Fenton is nice original material. Features the beautiful vocals of their female vocalist, Patsy Stevens.
