Gerald Durrell - Jambo The Gentle Giant

John Nettles narrates the extraordinary story of Jambo the gorilla at naturalist Gerald Durrell's famous Jersey Zoo. When a young boy fell into the gorilla enclosure in 1986, onlookers were horrified when the injured boy was approached by Jambo, a male silverback. To everyone's amazement however, Jambo protected the boy from the other gorillas until he could be rescued.
