The Story of Mercedes-Benz
The history of the Mercedes-Benz. Former rivals, Karl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler merged in 1926 to form the Mercedes-Benz company. From there followed a range of cars which today incorporates the brands Maybach, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and Smart.
The company has survived through the Depression era, two World Wars and onto the consumer boom and beyond.
