THE LEAGUE OF GENTLEMEN, the comedy series that debuted in 1999 to universal critical acclaim, takes place in the fictional town of Royston Vasey, where the inhabitants are almost entirely played by three actors: Mark Gatiss, Steve Pemberton, and Reece Shearsmith.
