Chasing Shadows A Thrilling Murder Mystery

On a rainy 1800's night, a patrolman, in Liverpool, England, stumbled upon a body of a retired English officer. The corpse was in a side alley with its throat slashed and stabbed twice in the back. Two weeks later, a London policeman found another retired officer murdered in the same fashion. When yet another officer, slain in a similar style was found, the leaders of Whitehall, home of England's security, had enough! "Send for agent Daniel Barton!" When Daniel received the letter, telling him to return home, his dream security job in Jamaica came to a crashing halt! To make matters worse, after returning to England, his normally keen observations were baffled, not only by the previous deaths but by the murder of a woman in the same manner as the others! It seemed as if he was chasing shadows!
