Bruising Knees

When you fall down, stand up. Adolescence is often a tumultuous and intense process of seeking strength, self-worth, and identity, especially for young women. In her premiere publication Bruising Knees, poet L. K. Rose ruminates and reflects upon this period of "fire, flood, and famine" through a combination of both formal poetry and free-verse abstractions. Within this text, the author hopes to create a space for women to reflect, release, and push further.
