A research paper analyzes a perspective or argues a point. Regardless of the type of research paper the researcher is writing, the researcher should present his own thinking backed up by others' ideas and information. The Process of Research Writing is based on the way that teachers have taught and continue to teach research writing to the students. So, as a result of the research in the teaching of writing, discussions with colleagues, and own experiences, i have developed a detailed approach to writing research papers and the approach is presented here. Instead of focusing on one research paper, i have focused on the process of research writing through a series of shorter writing exercises.

This book is about the challenge of research writing: how to structure many, complex details into a coherent whole. It offers a method for building a structurally sound research paper from scratch. The book is primarily intended for PhD candidates and postdocs but could also serve researchers on the tenure track. Most examples in the book come from research papers in engineering.

This book is devoted to scientific writing in Engineering disciplines (for example, Computer Engineering, Electronics, etc.). In the first section, i described the types of scientific papers. The main section of this book elaborates on the writing of each part of the scientific paper. The book concludes with a section containing some hints on language and style.
