THE KING OF BABYLON, POSSESSED IN A FOREST- In 631 BC, Ashurbanipal, the ancient king of Assyria and thereby king of the ancient world, died. - Ashurbanipal's kingdom fell to warring factions shortly after his death. - The town with the very first library in history, Nineveh, was sacked in 612 BC and razed to the ground.
