What is the human being? Around Andrés, all were deep questions: who are you? What do you want? What makes you happy? However, the meaning of existence itself had never been questioned... until reading a mysterious manuscript during a learning journey changes his life. Andrés is an introverted teenager experiencing depression. When he most needs a change of scene, Ana, his paternal grandmother, proposes that they travel Europe by train together. Unfortunately, Ana falls seriously ill. Aware that she will no longer be able to accompany him, she encourages him to embark on that planned journey. She even gives him a suitcase of books to accompany him. Of all of them, she insists he reads "What is the human being?", a philosophical manuscript that guides them in understanding the human species. Andrés gets on the train alone, without knowing his destination. Ana leads him through Skype on a fascinating route through different countries. He meets countless people, views famous art works and visits emblematic places of European history until he reaches the most important thing in life: the meaning of human existence.
