Cultural Problems of Translation

The book covers one of the important subject intranslation, namely the cultural problems of translation. To fulfil such an end, translator may confront because of the differencein cultures, the SL and TL. This book comprises two chapters . Chapter one is devoted to the discussion of culture in relation to translation . It is divided into three sections. The first section reviews the definitions ofthe term culture by sociologists, anthropologists and linguists . Section two concerns with what is called cultural untranslatability that takes place in some cultural aspects. Chapter Two deals with the cultural problems of the English-Arabic translation involving geographical, religious, social, material, political, linguistic and artistic problems
