The study in this book is conducted as a thesis requirement for Master degree in International Islamic University Malaysia. A comparison was carried out between housing projects with and without EIA in order to determine the effectiveness of the approved EIA reports on site. Results from the study indicated that the EIA had been effective in minimising/curbing adverse environmental effects. It is hoped that this book will be a useful reference for students doing studies on EIA and to those who wish to learn more about EIA.
