Kankal

This is a book which revolves around conception of morality in religion, specially Hindu religion, although other religions have also been referred. By this masterpiece the author wants to prove the hypocrisy of people and rotten principles of society. The author also throws light on the condition of women, the conduct of saints, and many human emotions. How, a girl was abducted from a fair, and when she met her father after several years, he refused to accept her in his home because as per the prevailing morals she became impure or unchaste (mind you it used to happen in 17th and 18th century India). The author criticizes these undignified social morals, and throws lights how reform is possible. It is an epic for critical thinking for everyone.
