This is an autobiography of a Chinese American economist. Professor Chu-yuan Cheng is a teacher, a researcher, a writer, and, after all, a patriot. Born in 1925 in mainland China, Dr. Cheng survived WWII and the Chinese Civil War in the 1930s and 1940s. As a political refugee from China, Dr. Cheng came to America in the late 1950s. Since then, he has been a highly productive writer of over 50 books and thousands of articles and essays. As a member of the Nationalist Party, he has made enormous effort to China's reunification.
