Grimms' Fairy Tales

Grimms' Fairy Tales by the Brothers, Jacob and Wilheim Grimm, is a collection of fairy tales first published in 1812 as Kinder- und Hausmärchen in German. Translated into English by Edgar Taylor in 1823, this is the most common collection of Grimms Fairy Tales. Jacob (1785-1863) and Wilhelm (1786-1859) Grimm, were both German authors better known together as The Brothers Grimm. While they were most well known as authors, they were also academics that studied fields of lexicography, sociology, and philology. They popularized some of the most famous fairy tales such as, Cinderella, The Frog Price, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel, and more. Odin's Library Classics is dedicated to bringing the world the best of humankind's literature from throughout the ages. Carefully selected, each work is unabridged from classic works of fiction, nonfiction, poetry, or drama.
