The Greater Esquimalt Drunken Seagulls

The Greater Esquimalt Drunken Seagulls are Victoria's first professional hockey team. Ms. Stinky is the team's player/coach and Foxy is the General Manager. After releasing all the talented players on the team, they load up on huge goons that lack skill but more than compensate for it with aggression. Games with Seattle and Vancouver are particularly nasty and Ms. Stinky uses all the dirty tricks she employed in the Nanaimo River Bush League where she led the league in penalty minutes for six straight years. After a number of lengthy suspensions, that Ms. Stinky feels are completely unwarranted, she and Foxy decide to visit the President of the league at his office in Toronto. The President of the league makes sure Ms. Stinky and Foxy are penalized, and that their penalties are a lot more than a major for fighting and a game misconduct. Every Village Needs an Idiot Series celebrates the good fortune we have in Canada to always have strong competition for the position of village idiot in every community. In the series we learn about some of the animals that are the strongest candidates for these positions in Victoria, BC neighbourhoods and adjoining cities. Ms. Stinky, Dr. Ponzi, Foxy Ferguson, Luna Tick, Busy B. Ody, Dr. B. Rayne Fixer, Lily Pad, Nipinator, Miss Kitty, Dips Tick and, other characters show what happens when stupidity, a hoggish lack of manners and no understanding of moral and ethics are combined with a healthy dose of arrogance, grandiosity and self-centredness.
