Beyond the Dance

What does it mean to surrender to the One who numbers all our days? To say "yes" to following Jesus into the unknown and uncomfortable? Beyond the Dance shares thoughts from Yvonne's journey which have taken her around the world. Through a collage of transparent and vulnerable writings, Yvonne's snippets of storytelling can bring tears and laughter-sometimes both. Woven together with these stories are deep biblical truths gleaned from the choice to follow Jesus. Yvonne Peters is a movement artist, choreographer and a leading pioneer in Christian dance ministry. Her exuberance and spiritual depth in worship has been amplified by over thirty-seven years of public ministry. Yvonne was a principal dancer on Integrity's "Sing Out" video, led by Ron Kenoly, and choreographer for Integrity's "Arise Jerusalem" video, led by Paul Wilbur. She served as a dancer, choreographer and dance director for the International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem for twenty-six years. She was the dance director for the 100th anniversary celebration of the Azusa Street Revival in Los Angeles. Yvonne has ministered throughout the United States, Europe, the Baltic States, the Caribbean, South America, South Africa, Israel, and the Russian Federation with its associated States. She has been the keynote speaker for various national and international conferences. Yvonne's biblical teaching style is both foundational and practical. She also continues to mentor worship arts ministers. Yvonne was married for thirty-three years to the late Carl B Peters and enjoys spending quality time with her two married children and six grandchildren.
