Leaving Legacies

The two men lived centuries apart. Saul (later known as Saint Paul) lived in the 1st Century and Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio (professionally known as Caravaggio) lived in the late 16th into the early 17th Century. Woven into their fascinating stories is a painting by Caravaggio of Saul/Saint Paul called "The Conversion on the Way to Damascus." It bridges the chasm of their centuries into ours. St. Paul and Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio were totally human. They both made serious mistakes. They both committed horrific crimes. But, ultimately they earned the world's respect. They possessed the drive, the strength of mind, and the energy to use their God-given talents to carry forth on their journeys... pre-ordained by Providence. They brought divinely inspired messages to the world. With pen and brush they gifted the world with priceless legacies. "Shining Light into Darkness" their works permeate the earth with the everlasting light of God... "Leaving Legacies."
