The File with the Yellow Stain

An excerpt: "Sometimes the sound of his screams echoing throughout the barn would wake me in a cold sweat. I would shake my head from side to side, trying to cast out the memory of that day. The image of standing over him looking at streams of red blood oozing out of his eyes and mouth was etched in my mind. I could still feel the weight of the hammer in my right hand and the warm patches of blood on my face. I slumped to my knees. when I awoke, it was dark.
