Frayed: a Novel

When his mother left him in fifth grade, seven years ago, he would have never imagined himself to be in these situations. Braxton Coother is a druggie, who learns that everything, good or bad, comes with a price. He meets his inner demon, who harasses, taunts, and hurts him mentally and physically. Braxton also has to face Death, when he steals people in his life he cares for. While Braxton is only 17, he is escorted south, to North Carolina, where he finds his mother, who openly takes him in. Can Braxton learn to love, let people in, befriend his demons, let people go, and forget the past? Or will he remain ?frayed? for the rest of his life?
