Dalmatian Road was written after having a conservation with my son on the way home from school. I was looking at the road and said "Brock, look at all the patches on this road from when they filled in pot holes with blacktop over the years!" There were several different shades of black to light grey. With a matter of fact, Brock said "Mom, this is a Dalmatian road! Not a patched road!" Looking at life through a child's eyes can be a real enjoyable experience. I hope you enjoy the rhyming as much as we did on that drive home. We really do live in a Dalmatian world.
