Pur avendo pronunciato i voti, condusse vita mondana e cortigiana; fu al servizio degli Sforza, di Francesco Gonzaga e Isabelle d'Este, dei Farnese, di Giovanni dalle Bande Nere e di Cesare Fregoso, la cui vedova segui in Francia; qui resse il vescovado di Agen dal 1550 sino alla morte, avvenuta molto probabilmente nel 1561.
