After 75 years of living as a devoted Christian, RaJean Thayer Vawter has finally written a book on prayer based on her study, research, and experience. Upon receiving her degree to teach secondary school, Vawter initially opted to be a full- time mother for her three sons and to volunteer in her church, school, and neighborhood. However, once the "nest" was empty, she went on to become a reporter, columnist, and writer. That is until prayer, intercession, evangelism, discipleship, and city-reaching became her focus and passion. Prayer Foundations is her third book. Her husband, Gary, also an author, is a proud and ardent supporter of her ministry. They have been married for more than 57 years and have ministered in more than 20 countries.
