The Bible reveals that the believers service to God, including our worship, prayer, fellowship, and work for God, must come from the source of the divine Spirit in our human spirit. Only the service that comes out of this kind of contact and fellowship is the service that God wants, and only this kind of service is acceptable to Him.
In The Spirit and Service in Spirit Witness Lee shows that true Christian service is a matter of believers serving, worshipping, contacting, and fellowshipping with the Spirit of God in their regenerated human spirit. To this end we must deny ours self with its natural faculties and contact God, dealing with Him thoroughly and inwardly. Only then can we render service which is from God, which takes God as its source, which relies on God, and which is for God.
