The Odyssey of a Lady

This is the tale of the USS Talbot APD-7 (DD-114) in World War II, as told by her radioman, Ellis Holden Kinyon, or "Kinny" as his friends and family knew him. She was built in 1918 and Kinny met her in 1941, before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. He wrote "The Odyssey Of A Lady" on a typewriter over the course of the war, while serving as Radioman. They sailed the icy northern waters around Alaska and navigated the tropical Pacific, playing a vital role in some of the most important battles of WWII. After the war, Kinny gave a few hand-bound copies to shipmates. Now, for the first time, this unique historical novella is available to the public.
