One Last Quest

We all have that group of friends we'll never forget, whether it be kids on a playground or sport's teams. For nerds, it's a group of friends sitting around a table, rolling dice, and going on imaginary adventures in far off lands. These groups become more than friends, they become family. Even after years apart they still come together when they need each other. When Mike, the former game master of the Adventurers of Greythorne returns home for the first time in almost a decade to visit his dying mother he has a shocking surprise. He's now Michelle a transgender bartender and drag queen. Unfortunately, this doesn't sit well with her family who rejects her and asks her to leave her dying mother's side. Depressed and unsure of what to do she ponders if anyone will ever really accept her. Before leaving town she accidentally bumps into Danny, the cleric, and healer of the group. Upon hearing what happened, Danny feels it's his job to help Michelle. And to him, the best way to do that is to reunite the group of adventurers. Danny, a perennial pothead, summons the rest of the core group: Rick, the group's wizard and now a disabled father of five, Jackie, the group's warrior and now a police officer, and Kelly, the group's druid and Danny's former girlfriend, who is now a naturalist. Together the Adventurers of Greythorne reunite for the weekend to take on one last quest. The quest to show Michelle that they will always love her and accept her for who she is and to teach her that family doesn't have to be blood-related.
