Compassionate Culprit

The road to hell is paved with good intentions. Brigadier Patrick McIntosh is about to be reminded of that violently. It seemed like a small thing to do for a friend, drop in on the police office of a small, holiday town, and talk about two recent murders. When McIntosh and Captain Chris Spies arrive at the police office, they find an empty police station and soon a third corpse. When the fourth victim is found, McIntosh and Chris find themselves investigating a serial killer, while calming frayed nerves and managing vigilante mobs in the quant town. With no links between the victims, McIntosh races to find the motive for the murders before the serial killer strikes again. At the same time, the country is in the grip of a ruthless drug dealer who is pushing fatal drugs without any concern for the mounting death toll. With a mole in headquarters, and politicians in the pay of the drug lord, McIntosh's team battle to make headway with the investigation before the drug kingpin can order a hit on them.
