Success Factors for Egovernment Adoption: Citizen Centric Approach

Saudi Arabia is predetermined to implement eGovernment and provide world-class government services to citizens. However, this initiative will be meaningless if the people didn?t adopt these electronic services. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine success factors that will facilitate the adoption of eGovernment in Saudi Arabia. The addressed research question is ?What are the success factors that will contribute to the successful adoption of eGovernment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia? To enable answering this question, innovation and technology literature and eGovernment success factors from the literature has been reviewed. The results of the literature review have been employed using three practical studies within the Saudi Arabian context. There were focus groups with eGovernment experience participants, semi-structured interviews with highly Saudi government officials and surveys with current and potential Saudi eGovernment users. The discussion of the analysis from results obtained from the practical studies has provided a framework that encompasses the eGovernment adoption success factors for Saudi Arabia.
