Abstract: Angiosperm diversity at the village Sabgram under Sadar upazila of Bogra district, Bangladesh conducted during March 2013 to July 2014. A total of 196 species belonging to 160 genera under 69 families were recorded. Habit analysis shows that herbs, shrubs, climbers and trees are represented by 69, 42, 28 and 57 species, respectively. Amaranthaceae, Asteraceae, Apocynaceae, Caesalpiniaceae, Convolvulaceae, Cucurbitaceae, Euphorbiaceae, Fabaceae, Moraceae, Malvaceae, Mimosaceae, Myrtaceae, Poaceae, Rutaceae and Solanaceae are the dominant families with high species diversity. 119 medicinal plants have been documented with their uses for the cure of more than 207 diseases, and some of these are abscess, asthma, abortion, cough, cold, chicken pox, constipation, dysentery, diarrhea, diabetes, eczema, fever, and fracture of bone, headache, heart disease, itches, jaundice, menstrual disease, paralysis, piles, skin diseases, snake-bite, sex problems, toothache, vomiting, worm, wound and others. For each species scientific name, local name, habit, family, ailments to be treated, mode of treatment and part(s) used are provided.
