A Study on the Contractor Performance Criteria in Libya Construction: Construction Management
Saieed Mohamed A. Abdelsalam
The contractors are selected in the expectation that they will satisfy the measures for contractors? performance and undertake the clients? project and take it to satisfactory conclusion. This means to meet the client?s time, cost, and quality expectations. On the other hand, good contractors and poor contractors are evaluated based on their performances. In some cases, poor contractors are likely to jerry-build, delay schedule, suspend work without authorization or subcontract the whole or any part of the work without the prior consent of the owners. All of these actions bring losses to the owners and cause damage to the work.
