When magic's in the air, anything is possible...




Jo Milligan's café - A Bit of Crumpet - is her pride and joy. But icing cakes and baking pastries in the sleepy Scottish village of Cranley isn't hitting the sweet spot.




Jo longs for some excitement in her life. The arrival of gruff stranger Harvey Quinn doesn't fill with her joy. Nor does the appearance of an unlikely assistant with an unexpected gift and an attitude problem.




Patience isn't genie Aaliyah's strong suit. Jo has three wishes, but the pair lock horns as she struggles with what to wish for. Add to the mix Aaliyah's talent for upsetting people, and village life becomes ever more challenging.




As Jo and Harvey forge a tentative bond, old memories surface and the pursuit of happiness leads Jo down roads she never imagined travelling. A chance to reunite with her parents, a moment in the spotlight and an opportunity to right some wrongs.




When Aaliyah's sidekick Dhassim gets added to the mix, and antique shop owner Sam Addin seems linked to the genie madness, there's never a dull moment...
