The Unfit Mother

Char Mathews is a young mother who never felt loved by her family. She suffered much at the hands of her mother who was addicted to crack. Her dad was a hard-working man who came to her aide only when it was convenient for him. It seems like the odds were against her with every turn that she made. Char wanted to give up but never did. Lena Mathews, Char mother, went out one afternoon and never returned. One night Char was violently attacked in her home causing her to become hospitalized. Lena's disappearance caused a chain reaction when Luther Mathews, Char's dad invited his sister Cherry Mathews to come to New York to care for his younger son Toby and granddaughter Amari. Cherry accepted the offer, but she didn't come alone. Cherry brought her two teenage daughters Reese and Belle along. Things started to get a little better with Cherry around, but unfortunately Cherry and Luther were hiding something from Char, Reese, and Belle. Things spiraled out of control when the young girls find out about the deeply buried secrets.
