The book demonstrates and analyzes economic and community activity of the most prominent Bukharian Jewish guild merchants and industrialists at the end of nineteenth - beginning of twentieth centuries. From the 146 merchants featured in this book, 41 were industrialists. The edition is based on rare bibliographic sources, reference books and documents of the Central State Historical Archive of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
