Joey's headaches are growing worse by the day and his excessive drinking is getting way out of hand. When Lacey finally calls it quits, Joey is beside himself with self-loathing. However, unable to stop himself from over-indulging in the red-eye that gives him a few moment's peace, he rails against everyone who attempts to help him.
