On the Pier

Jack visits his grandma, who lives in a house in the woods, across a field, by a pond with a pier. When he gets to be too much for her, she sends him outside to explore. He, of course, heads for the pier. He learns the value of listening, patience and self-control from the animals he meets at the pond.
