The Fiddlehead Chronicles

Josie Arnold, grieving from the sudden death of her partner Charles, returns to her New England hometown to nurse her father through the last stages of cancer. After his death, Josie buys Herbs & Honey - a natural food store whose bottom line is as low as Josie's spirits. Business picks up nicely, however, when Josie discovers a body while picking fiddleheads down by the river - and soon finds another corpse stashed in her car. Josie copes with the constant parade of nosy townspeople stopping by her store Herbs & Honey to 'get a look at a possible murderer' by cooking up a variety of fiddlehead recipes to sell at the store. More complications arise when Josie's old high school sweetheart, Tom, shows up and, despite her misgivings, charms the pants off her. After Josie's apartment is trashed, she decides to do her own sleuthing with the help of her spaced out store assistant, Lanie. Together, they play a fast and dangerous game designed to draw out the killer before they become the next victims.
