I get flashes in my mind, usually at bedtime when I'm half asleep, and make mental notes to try and remember them, but, by morning, they have slipped away into the murky gloom of forgetfulness, and as I am very impatient to write more stories, I have decided to finish my life story. I must say that life was never dull, but on the contrary absorbingly interesting always. I spend a lot of time talking to God and I think I know him well. He's carried me most of my life and guided me safely always. Perhaps one day I'll know the answers to some of life's questions. As I look back at my life, from the lofty perch of eighty seven years old, I wonder sometimes, how I ever reached this great age, but before I go any further I should, first of all, tell you my name, which, by the way, is Godfrey. My parents saw it on a packet of American cigarettes, namely, 'Godfrey Phillips'. I don't regard myself as a medium or anything like that, just an ordinary puzzled guy, that's all, who wishes, like most of us, to have normal dreams. Although my memory is beginning to falter a little, I can still remember clearly...
