Contributor Bio:  W, J JW is an adult childhood abuse survivor with DID. Born he grew up in a violent military family devoid of love and affection. Unable to find love at home, he found what seemed like love in the arms of a pedophile friend, who groomed him as a young lover. He still struggles with that past. On April 1, 2011 he and his 'others' finally managed to 'embrace themselves' with understanding, compassion, love and forgiveness. Like any family, there are problems - especially when one considers his 'family' consists of abused children, hurt and confused teens, and emotionally compromised adults. For in DID "one is many, and many can become one" - a symbol for all mankind. In 1976 JW began writing "The Boy" and he and five of his alters have been working off and on for 34 years completing it. JW resides somewhere in the deep South. He is disabled and living with family ... and his inner beings .... A portion of the net profits from the sale of this book will be going to benefit abused children.
