King's Crossing

The story takes place in the 1700's and documents the journey of one Peter McDermott, from Melrose Scotland, who... as a young man, develops a case of wanderlust. At the urging of a childhood friend, he finds himself on a journey to Liverpool to see if he can join up with a ship headed to The New World. Along the way he meets up with two Irish brothers who are on their own journey. They're headed to London to see if they can secure gainful employment. When Peter reaches the docks in Liverpool, he's able to joins up with Captain Kidd, who has been appointed as a 'privateer' by King James. Captain Kidd is no longer a simple pirate, but now serves as an emissary, working to attack the enemies of King James. Peter's exploits are well documented and we 're exposed to his day to day adventures aboard ship, as he sails to The New World. Cameo appearances include the Knights Templar, and the infamous Benjamin Franklin. Although this was the golden age of Pirates and Swashbucklers, this story leans more towards a historical narrative. I hope you enjoy it?
